The history of contributions to The Episcopal Church (TEC) by people of the African Diaspora is long and inspiring. African Descent Ministries (ADM) seeks to inspire, transform and empower people of the African Diaspora to live fully into the Jesus Movement. As part of endeavoring to accomplish its mission, ADM will be hosting its first Afro Caribbean Convocation June 6 – June 7, 2023. The conference theme is “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! 1 Chronicles 16:34”.
The days will begin and end with worship, reflection and music drawn from our Afro-Anglican tradition. Plenaries will include keynote presentations by leaders from The Episcopal Church and beyond. The convocation will also include video presentations from the Afro Caribbean diaspora and programming developed and deployed by the ADM to address the needs of these communities.
