Service of thanksgiving to mark 148 years of the Scottish Episcopal Church Mission Association

[Scottish Episcopal Church] Following the decision to bring to a close the Scottish Episcopal Church Mission Association after 148 years, a service of thanksgiving for the work of supporters, volunteers and staff will take place on Nov. 4 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh.

In April, on announcing the winding up of the charity, the SECMA committee said, “Some SECMA funds will be channeled through well-equipped organizations including the Mother’s Union, Tearfund and Mary’s Meals to projects meeting SECMA’s values. We want to thank all supporters and friends of SECMA who, for over a century and a half, have been the bedrock and engine room of missions, prayer, giving and change across the world.”
