EPPN: Advocate for environmental appropriations

Posted Jun 2, 2017

[Episcopal Public Policy Network policy alert] Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has released this statement regarding President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement. Though the withdrawal from this agreement is a setback, advocacy on environmental issues can still have a big impact.

Continue to make your voice heard on climate issues, and learn about the impact the appropriations process can have on our environment, economy, and health.

The air we breathe, the waters of our rivers, lakes, and oceans, the incredible landscapes of national parks: these natural resources are carefully stewarded by U.S. government programs for long-term sustainability. Environmental government programs range from clean air regulations to climate change adaptation funding to investments in research and development for clean energy development. This week, we will focus on advocating for critical environmental programs funded through the appropriations process. Heeding our Episcopal call to promote environmental stewardship, will you join us in this important advocacy effort?
