Archbishop of Central Africa writes to Ban Ki-moon on refugees

[Lambeth Palace press release] Anglican Archbishop of Central Africa, the Most Rev. Albert Chama, has written to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon ahead of the Global Summit Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants, being held this week at the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

Writing on the request of Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, Chama – who is chair of the Anglican Alliance – said the “global tragedy” of the forced displacement of millions of people “is now a crisis that calls us to work together in new and creative ways in response to such suffering and disruption.”
