Episcopal Relief & Development highlights partners in Louisiana

Posted Sep 20, 2012

[Episcopal Relief & Development] This month’s Power of Partnerships lauds the disaster preparedness and response efforts of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana and its outreach arm, Episcopal Community Services of Louisiana (ECSLA). Episcopal Relief & Development partnered with the diocese to establish ECSLA – then known as the Office of Disaster Response – following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and is currently supporting relief activities in the wake of Hurricane Isaac.  In addition to providing gas and food vouchers to impacted families, diocesan and ECSLA staff are working with congregations to expand existing ministries and help those in need.

Please note that the Power of Partnerships and Friends of Episcopal Relief & Development web features are now on an alternating schedule.  The next Friends of Episcopal Relief & Development will be published in October.

The Power of Partnerships and Friends of Episcopal Relief & Development web features present stories about the agency’s partners in the US and worldwide.
