[Episcopal News Service] El Centro Hispano is a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida serving the local immigrant Latino community in Fort Lauderdale. El Centro has combined with the Episcopal parishes of St. Ambrose and All Saints to form the New River Regional Ministry. It has enabled the parishes to combine resources and to find new life. El Centro offers support, advice and counseling to Latino immigrants and runs a pre- and after-school program for their children. The ministry is led by the Rev. Rosa Lindahl, a native of Colombia.
